LA County Teachers (3rd - 8th Grade) and Principals
The Los Angeles Lakers® and Anthem Blue Cross® have once again teamed up to educate the community about the importance of physical fitness and nutrition. Register your school to participate in the "Fit for Life Trivia Challenge." Starting on January 30, 2012 participating schools will encourage its students to complete interactive health-related quizzes on Lakers.com to accumulate points for their school. The twenty (20) schools that accumulate the most points from January 30, 2012 - March 30, 2012 will receive the following:
- A spot for fifteen (15) students and two (2) faculty members to attend the Lakers® 3rd annual Fit for Life Health Fair event (Spring 2012) in El Segundo, CA with Lakers' players, Lakers' staff and the Laker Girls® dance squad to discuss with the students and faculty the importance of eating healthy and staying active.
- The school that accumulates the most points in the "Fit for Life Trivia Challenge" will receive a $1,500 sports equipment certificate and recognition at halftime of a Lakers® regular season home game.
Additionally, participating schools will have the opportunity to answer three essay questions for the chance to have members of the Lakers® visit its school. Based on the essay responses, one (1) school will be selected by the Lakers® to receive the following:
- Fit for Life Time Out: a one-hour school visit by Lakers' players, Lakers' staff and the Laker Girls® dance squad to discuss with the students and faculty the importance of eating healthy and staying active.
- A $1,500 sports equipment certificate and recognition at halftime of a Lakers® regular season home game.
